Mark graduated from Abilene Christian University in Abilene, TX where he received a BA in Acting and Directing. He has performed with California Theater Center(Sunnyvale, CA) Mill Mountain Theater(Roanoke, VA), CPCC Summer Theater (Charlotte, NC) and Jenny Wiley Theater (Prestonsburg, KY). After their marriagein 2004, Mark and Bethany moved to Georgia, where Mark served as the Theater Arts teacher at Landmark Christian School in Fairborn from 2004-2008. Favorite regional directing credits outside of Legacy include the Southeastern Premiere of Alan Mencken’s King David , the World Premiere of Going with Jenny at Theatrical Outfit and Peter Pan at Jenny Wiley Theatre. Mark has directed over 50 productions at Legacy. Some of his favorites include the World Premiere of Vintage Hitchcock: A Live Radio Play, 1776, Jane Eyre, Tarzan, and Godspell. In 2014 Mark received ACU’s Distinguished Alumni Citation. His greatest achievements are marrying Bethany Hayes Smith and being the Dad of Desmond and Xavier.
