Jenavene Bazacas makes her home in New York City, serving as Senior Pastor for Wellspring Church in Long Island City while continuing to nurture her artistic roots. She’s thrilled to see After Zoey continue its journey, having created the title role in both the 2015 New York workshop and the 2016 ACU Theatre workshop. Her newest creative venture is an album of original children’s songs, soon to be available on major streaming platforms.
A graduate of Abilene Christian University (B.F.A., Musical Theatre) and CAP21, Jenavene married her college sweetheart, Seth, in 2010. The two launched their married life on tour together in How the Grinch Stole Christmas, a joyful beginning to Jenavene’s wide-ranging performance career. Her credits include NYMF’s Greenwood and Mother Divine, Babes in Toyland at Lincoln Center, and The Sound of Music at Paper Mill Playhouse and then a nine-month national tour of The Sound of Music. She also originated the role of Carolyn in the workshop of Jason Robert Brown’s The Bridges of Madison County, directed by Bartlett Sher.
Jenavene and Seth now share life’s adventures with their two children, Rocky and River.
