Hi Legacy Families,
I was chatting with a good friend about opening Mary Poppins on FaceTime—looking quite exhausted after opening weekend—and she asked me:
“Is it worth it?”
I quickly answered, “100%! There is nothing like bringing theater to life!”
Every single show I attend at Legacy—as an audience member—I mean every show, I sit there and watch the vision I had take flight. It is an actual miracle to me, every time.
I am amazed…
- at the gorgeous proscenium with our signature LT on top.
- at our loyal, excellent front-of-house team.
- at the kind ushers volunteering their time.
- at the excited patrons seeing the theatre for the first time.
- at the longtime Diamond Members who have supported us for 20 seasons.
- at the next generation of artists on stage—our very own Legacy students, many of whom I’ve watched grow up.
- at the tech crew who keep every show running smoothly and professionally.
- at the magical talent we’re blessed with—some who’ve traveled across the country, some who came years ago and never left, some who met lifelong friends here, some who were once our students and are now professional actors.
All of them come together in Tyrone, GA, creating a one-of-a-kind experience.
And I get to do this for a living.
If I hadn’t trusted my dream and intuition… this never would have opened.
So if you see me somewhere in the theatre, watching the show—you’ll know what I’m thinking.
I’m marveling in the goodness of God and humanity.

Pic of me with my precious boys, Xavier and Desmond. I wonder what stories they will tell someday about growing up at the theatre.

My view as I marveled at a sold out house at The Play That Goes Wrong in May!
We sold out a PLAY!
As I write this—with tears in my eyes and a joyful smile on my face—I think:
This little girl had big dreams.
Now she gets to experience them every single day.
Wow.
With love and dreams,
Bethany
